The Tilburgs Lab is seeking a postdoctoral fellow to investigate the cellular and molecular mechanisms that govern maternal-fetal tolerance during healthy human pregnancy and pregnancy complications. Our research focuses on how interactions between trophoblasts and maternal immune cells shape immune adaptation at the maternal-fetal interface, and how disruptions in these interactions contribute to placental inflammation and infection. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in immunology and/or placental biology, and a passion for translational research in reproductive immunology. Experience with high-dimensional flow cytometry, cell sorting, human tissue culture, molecular biology techniques, genome editing, and/or computational analysis is highly desirable.
